Jorge Garcia

Jorge was born in Santiago, Dominican Republic and moved to the United States at the age of 18. He worked through the ranks of the restaurant industry starting as a fry cook and working his way up to his current position of Executive Chef of the Red Heat Tavern. His specialty is executing dishes out of Red Heats Josper oven, a high heat charcoal oven that gives foods a unique smoky flavor. Jorge is passionate about the food he creates and invites you to come in and try it for yourselves at the Red Heat Tavern!

Red Heat Tavern is a craft beer focused restaurant and bar with an innovative & unique coal fired oven that blends the flavors of outdoor grilling with tavern comfort classics like Burgers. Each dish is treated as a labor of love. Cooking with the Josper oven gets the food seared and infused with smoke to create bold flavors. The Burgers at Red Heat Tavern are made from Schweid & Sons fresh 100% Certified Angus Beef and hand-formed in house.

Big Blue Burger

ingredients

  • Schweid & Sons Burger
  • Blue Cheese Crumbles
  • Roasted Red Peppers
  • Applewood Smoked Bacon
  • Roasted Garlic Aioli
  • Arugula
  • Brioche Bun

Directions

  1. Cook your burger to order with your favorite seasonings, 5 minutes each side for perfect medium.
  2. Toast brioche bun to golden brown
  3. Add bacon, blue cheese crumbles, and red peppers to burger and melt cheese.
  4. Brush both sides bun with garlic aioli and top with arugula.
    place burger on bun and enjoy!
